With this business you must have lots of patient and above all else, be very responsible and trustworthy. You must earn parents' trust and as you do you will find that you have to turn down work. Develop a simple calendar website that shows what local babysitters have availability on what days or evenings. Parents can log into your website to see who is available and when. They can even leave anonymous comments and reviews to help improve your business. You could also provide elder care or some type basic service for home bound people. If you have the spare time, consider adding other basic household services such as laundry, light housekeeping, or taking care of the houseplants or pets.

While expansion is an option, you should not to lose focus of your core business. Trying to add too much too quickly can take a toll on your capital and energy. Be realistic grow your business in a way that supports your cash flow projections and business goals.
