Spending Log

Knowing how every dollar is spent it the start of keeping track of Monthly Expenses. We often overlook the little items we spend out money on. Like candy bars, cup of coffee, gum, chips and a can of pop, after work beer, and so on. Adding up these items sometimes shocks people into action. Other times people dismiss small expenses as not worth tracking.

Just a cup of coffee everyday will add up to $700 a year! Money better invested. You can live without the coffee, you can't live without money should your income stop or you retire.

Spending Log Sheet

Everytime you spend money, whether cars; credit card, or check, make a record of it. Track everything. At the end of the day, total the amount you spent. Keep a separate sheet for each week. Add up the weekly sheets and transfer the amount to the monthly expense worksheet.

This is not that hard. All it takes is keeping a record of where you spend you money everyday. It is only then that you can see what items you can get rid of in your life, or at least spend a lot less on. Remember, money going out does not build wealth, only money coming in and staying put does.
